Wanted a shooter and found this one walking around at the gun show.

Winchester 94 in 30-30 with a 26" octagon barrel, unfired. Serial number dates it to 1968.
Some scroll work on the receiver and very fancy walnut.

I wanted a shooter and couldn't pass this one up so the question is, did I buy a wall hanger / safe queen or is this just a fancy shooter?

    Well, that's up to you.

You wanted a shooter. It's a nice gun, but not a collector gun per se. I'd shoot it, unless you have the money to go out and get another to shoot.

As long as you take reasonable care with it, go out and shoot it. Collector value not high (yet) but if its kept nice, it's not gonna lose alot of value.

    That's a beauty. Congratulations!

I say that guns are meant to shoot.:)
