Winchester Magnum BP #11 caps ?

Local shop had some #11 caps in stock, Winchester Magnum #11's. Guy said they were hotter than the standard CCI #11 and worked great for igniting Pyrodex. Anyone use these ? Any issues ? I read they can be tight on some nipples, and may need two hits to fire. Others said they fit fine. Plan on using them in my Traditions side lock with Goex, for hunting this year. -Thanks

I've used them in my 1851. They fit a little loose, so I pinch them a tad before I seat them. Never had an issue with them.

They do seem to ignite better than other caps. I am now looking for them whenever I see #11 caps for sale.

I have used them and compare them to CCI magnum caps. Seem to fit OK on my spitfire nipples, but if they are tight on your nipple just put the nipple in a drill and hold a file along the edge until you get a snug but not loose fit.

Yes, I use them for hunting because they are hotter, for sure ignition.

I never noticed much difference between Winchester and magnum CCI #11’s myself. Same fit, similar ignition.
