Any comments on Winchester Supreme Elite Ammo (.38 special +p or 9mm +9)?

Got some at Wally World...about a buck per round.

My only comment is that it sounds like a heck of a marketing ploy.

I dare say its probably good (maybe even excellent) ammo, but like any of this uber-it's-the-best type.....is it really worth the money over another premium type hollow point (lets say in this case, Winchester's own Ranger LE bonded JHP ammo)?

For a normal person (excepting some IPSC champion or someone, who it may be more accurate for, maybe?) I'd have my doubts....

It comes in pretty boxes as well.....

I carry it in both 9mm and .45ACP. I would in .40 S&W if I had any. What I have shot was good to go. I am not sure it is any better than the same type of ammo from Remington or Federal or the other companies. I would say it is at least equal to those.

    A bit redundant, I daresay.

Nothing wrong with it... does it feel like it's worth a buck a round?
    I don't buy it.

Either has to shoot well out of your firearm. A buck a shot is nuts for handgun ammo.
"...comes in pretty boxes..." That explains the high price. Pretty packaging always costs more for anything.
