Crawdad, now that's a nice looking rifle. The Trapdoor wouldn't have been my first pick either , but I already had it so it filled the spot.

Deaf Smith, I mentioned the pistol version of the collection to my wife and she said @$#&*?!!!!......

You have the trapdoor Springfield for the Indian Wars, now you need a Krag for the Spanish American fracas.

Grand congratulations on your collection. Please don't let the criticism of others get you down. An ongoing issue with any collection is the minutiae of the pieces involved with the collection. As an example, how many firearms did the Allies use in WW2? The important thing is does your collection give you pleasure as described? If true, most excellent. If you choose to add to it in the future, great! If your collection starts to cause you angst, then question your purpose for it. In the meantime enjoy!!!!!

yes but do you have each variant, secondary arm, side arm....LOL?

Very Nice! I like the theme, I'll bet you've learned a lot. I know I do with each old gun I get, when I research it.

Thanks! Yeah.....half the fun is the "chase" and the research. And now my wife gives me a good "eye roll" when I pause the TV to point out the guns being used (i.e. incorrect guns in westerns, etc., etc.)

HEY!!! What happened to the M-14/M-1A ? I was issued one in Nam (because I was a REMF!) and I had to guard it with my life, lest I wake up one morning to find that a grunt, who was far more deserving of it than I, had stolen it and left his malfunctioning M-16 in it's place.
