Would the combination of the length of the 357 Coonan's grip and the width of the Para-ordnace wide grip be too much? I have both and it seems maybe possible.
A cartridge based on the .45 base size (.470) with a length of A 357 Mag (1.28), necked to .308 with a 35 degree shoulder angle could be made that would hold 14 cartridges. Clearly I have very large hands as I find both the Coonan and Para-Ordnance quite comfortable.

It would mimic a .30 Herrett's ballistics in an Automatic. The case capacity would be 34 grains of water, the same as the 30 Herrett. The 30 Herrett gives a velocity of 2200+ fps with a 110 grain bullet, better than a 30-30. Barrel length does come into play but in general, a 6" comped barrel would be a real cannon, no matter what the length. Believe it or not, the 7.92x33 Kurz is almost the exact dimensions but with an 8mm bullet and a shallower shoulder angle. Calculated recoil would be the same as the 460 Rowland.

I know this would mean a whole new frame so it's just a thought /dream experiment but would the grip be too massive to hold? I'm comfortable with both my Coonan and Para-Ordnance grips but the two combined may be a different story.
