Would you clean an original Colt 1860 Army?

    Provided the cleaning is done with care such as not to remove any of the finish, do it.

    Dust attracts moisture and moisture promotes rust. If you clean it, then you should apply Renaissance Wax. It is PH neutral, will penetrate the pores and will prevent rust.

    No. Do not disassemble or clean. Oil is all.
