Say you had some hi cap mags for sale and someone from NY State wanted to buy 'em from you... They ask that you ship it to an out-of-State address (where the mags are legal).

Real situation that my buddy is experiencing... I told him NO FN WAY...

    Would you do it?

No, I would not. Would not even consider it.
And it's not like there wouldn't be plenty of people lined up to buy the mags right now. Legally.

I agree with your advice to your buddy, OA. He has been provided too much information and is now an accessory to someone trying to skirt a law.

The would be buyer can hit a gun show in another state and purchase them himself if he really needs them.

What law is being broken by the seller if they sell hi capacity magazines to a New York resident when they are visiting another state like New Hampshire or Maine? Heck, for that matter, the New York resident would be breaking no laws by buying hi capacity magazines in New Hampshire or Maine.

I agree with Navy here. Of course, I'd rather have "plausible deniability" going for me.

Personally, I wouldn't do it 'cause I'm paranoid enough to think it was some kind of set up. A writer doing a story, an anti-group...who knows. I told him it wasn't worth the few extra bucks. The thing is that the buyer has a NYC address on his Gunbroker profile. Don't know about laws but it just didn't feel right to me and I made sure my friend knew it. Hell, if the buyer wants the mags so bad, he should take a drive across State lines and do it on his own, right?

What we don't do here is suggest violating laws. Conspiring with somebody who intends to break a law is not righteous.
