Love the sort of old fashioned BIG presses for some jobs.
Couple years ago I decided a needed a single stage press to do small lots of ammo for testing and the like. (Dillon XL 650 is a great press for production work. Not so good for five rounds at a time for test - load - purposes.) Found - at a gun show - a used (not abused) CH three fixed positions press. Built like a bank safe. Great for small lots of test ammunition AND for resizing cases to become another cartridge.

Not a new one, but a welcome addition.

Congratulations on finding and getting what you wanted and needed. Always a neat feeling.

wonder who’s it geared to? RC can do all the Ultra mags and Super mags like 338 Lapua.

Lee Ram Prime is the nuts as far as I'm concerned. I find it to give very good sensitivity so I can feel when I've seated the primer all the way. None of the built-in priming systems I've tried (RCBS, Lee, Dillon) give the same touch. Tried and didn't really like the Lee hand priming tool. Haven't tried any of the bench priming systems.

my RCBS hand primer tool gives me a nice feel, good feed back and I can see the primer before primming. See if it’s right side up or deformed. When this tool, dies, I’m replace with exact same one

I use the RCBS Ram Prime for small batches, 50 or less.

The primer feed on the RC2 works well, if set correctly. Not always easly done.

Like a few of you, I got my RockChucker in the mid 70's. It was an upgrade from a Herter's "C" frame press. And what an upgrade it was! People often complain about the spent primer catcher and it does let a few escape. In all honesty, I might loose 1 primer out of a hundred cases. It helps if you work the handle slow and smooth. It also helps to place a piece of cardboard or plastic in the tray like a shield. I'm tempted to order one of those 3D printed trays that you see offered.

Yeppers, and only about one out of a hundred of those one out of a hundred spent primers that miss my Rock Chucker's primer catcher miss the orange 5-gallon "trash" bucket from Home Depot that's sitting under my press.

I prime on my old Lee Challenger press that I bought when I started reloading about 15 years ago.
I’m using a Forster Co-Ax as my main single stage .

I de-cap on my Lee challenger. What won't fit in my Lee APP. I prime with my RCBS bench prime and on my Lee turret press.

Is the RCBS Rock Chucker made in the USA?
My Redding Big Boss II weighs about the same - I think it is US made...but costs a bit more

The first press i ever purchased was a used early rock chucker i have used it for over 35 years .You will love the press, good luck with it!

Alot of good talk about presses. Some new, some old. I too have a RC that is setup with a piggyback for pistol. I have not heard any talk about the old RCBS A2. I found my first at a gun show in the early 90's. I must be the only one who prefers to load rifle on an A2. Still on the lookout for an A4 .

I started with the old non-glossy Rock Chucker back in the early Seventies. Gave it to my Father-in-law after buying a Rock Chucker II three years later. Still use it and it still has no play. I have no reason to buy a new Rebel today.....but I want one. Can't help it....I love simplicity and beef and it has both.....maybe it's the green. Doesn't bother me that it doesn't having an on-press primer system, since I haven't primed on it since some poor smuck blew up his hands in the seventies...with an unshielded primer tube. Guess I'm not brave enough.

My R.C. II, I've improved on, cured the primer flinger, and maded a "Kicker" for it....so even more, I don't need a new Rebel.....and I even have a Summit Press too..........but so what.....You can never have too many presses....... So I'll probably end up with a Rebel too. Just like it.

My modded R.C. II.....which really speeded things up for prepping brass for wet tumbling.......until I bought my Lee APP with its case feeder which blows the doors off any attempt to do that with this.
