Don't Tread On Me

Well guys, I almost never do this style of thread, but here it goes.
I recently bought an XD-9 Tactical (in OD green, black slide). Nice package. Was under $480. Comes with dual mag pouch, a holster, and a magazine loader. These accessories are not very useful for me, but make for a neat package nonetheless. Oh yea, and two 16rd magazines . Better stock up on those before Hillary comes. Trigger is nice. The ergonomics work well for me. I have some experience with other XD's and I didn't know this model didn't have a captive recoil spring like they do. While on the phone with someone chatting away, not paying attention, I field stripped it for the first time without really looking at the spring. My finger learned the hard way. (gun was checked to be unloaded, that part I was paying attention)
Took the tactical to the range. Only got to shoot 100rds of WWB . Function was flawless. Recoil was non-existent, muzzle flip very low - even for a 9mm. But that's to be expected of a 5" 9mm that's 31oz. Sorry, I don't have pictures yet. Accuracy was good considering I am not a great pistol shooter. Long sight radius (for a 9mm), nice trigger, points well for me.. and all that makes it very easy to be accurate with minimal effort. Unlike some pistols, this one almost "does the work" for you.
Next time out I will chronograph a variety of loads out of this pistol and post the results.
Only complaint? Not really a negative, but the 3-dot sights are not my favorite. I'd rather have either a target style sight set up for more precision, or the XS sights for pure speed. That's an upgrade for the future.
