I recently got a new pistol, my first in fact, a XDM 9mm and i absolutely love it! Im up to about 550 rounds or so through it and every single one of those rounds resulted in peer happiness! Unfortunitally for me, my fiance love its to, so now im looking for a another pistol, seeing as my XDM has unoffialy become hers. So here i am thinking to myself, i really dont have the cash for another XDM but from what i hear, with a regular XD i might still be in business.
Does anyone have info on the XD? Do you own one? How much is it, all black, 9mm? Is it as reliable and comfortable to shoot as the XDM? How is it in the CC dept? Does it come with all the same stuff as my XDM did? Is my fiance going to like it more or less than the XDM?
Any info would be great, thanks!!!

Well, I've become the proud owner of an XD 9 in all black, and I'm loving it. Mine's 4" which I got specifically for cc. I know the sub-compact is supposed to be better but I like the extra accuracy with the 4". It carries nicely and fits very smoothly in my hand, so, I think if you love the XDM you'll have no problem liking the XD. Mine came with the holster, mag holder, speed loader (not really a speed loader I 'spose but it does help the finger tips from hurtin' as much) and 3 16rd mags. I can't remember what the XDM comes with but I'm happy with what I got. I haven't put as many rounds through it as you've put through your XDM but I've had no problems thus far and don't really expect any. FWIW, I've been using Winchester white box. The local shop was selling one for $530, which included tax, and they wouldn't budge, though that price seemed to about average from what I've seen for a new one. However, I got mine for $470 after tax from GT Distributors. They sell only to LEOs, military, and First Responders, so if you are any of those, I'd go with them or someone else who sells like that cause you'll get a discount. If not, I know you can find some used XDs on different forums such as arfcom anywhere from 400-550, depending on wear, round count, color and the seller. So, if you're patient I'm sure you can find one in just the right price range for you. And I know for a fact you wont be disappointed.
