Well, I'm new to THR and I must say that there is a wealth of information here. I hope someone else has experienced this issue because I seem to get the weird ones. I wish I could post picures but I'm not quite that computer literate yet.

Basically, the barrel lug is contacting the underside of the locking block (part that is angled downward) where it is supposed to, but it seems to be rolling metal from the edges of the lug. The lug is also contacting the trigger on top of the pivot point, almost like it's travelling too far. This is causing two little "ears" of sharp metal to protrude from the end of the lug.

It should be noted that the locking block was replaced (warranty) with the new style after showing signs of cracking at around 500 rounds (also causing wear on the barrel lug, but in a different place). I have shot around 300 rounds of factory ammo through it since then with only 1 FTF. Although there doesn't seem to be a serious reliability issue yet, I don't want it to become an issue at an inopportune time.

I am finding myself taking a strong look at a Glock 23. I will sacrifice a little comfort for the sake of reliability and longevity.
