I like mine I have about 500rnds through it,It even shot my 200gr Lswc with no issues.I put the talon grips on to save on myside when I carry it.
Shot it yesterday and was hitting my 60 yard steel most shots.

Just got one

I love it with the mild load of Federal Hydra Shocks.

I carry it with the 5 rounder mag in and the finger extensions removed from the 7 rounders as spare mags.

I find it VERY easy to shoot and yes to practicing with a glove if your shooting ball loads [ I am using Federal ball ] and they seem a bit hotter than the Hydra shocks.

The service from them is AMAZING and I am considering another Springfield due to the experience with my first.

btw, I have been a big Glock fan and own 6 prior to the first XDS.

No complaints with mine. reliable, light, built with the quality one should expect from Springfield, and easy to conceal. recoil is quite good and accurate at the ranges that gun is designed for. luckily, 45ACP is a caliber that still occasionally pops up at Wally World.

I love mine tremendously. I was pissed about the price when I bought it, but have no regrets now. It has become my EDC.

I wrote up a relatively detailed, but amature review.

Wear a glove when you're practicing as it can get painful around round 50.

I hear this a lot. It really isn't bad. If you grip the gun firmly and keep it from jumping around in your hand, it doesn't hurt. Everyone's tolerance is different though.

requires a good overhand slide rack and proper release, or the first round hangs up
feed problems ONLY when casually chambering that first round by hand, otherwise it runs perfectly

This is very true. This is a gun that when you operate it, you NEED to operate it like you mean it. No limp wristing, no casual wracking of the slide. It is a tight gun, and you need some decent hand strength to ensure proper function.

^^^To clarify, I found I needed a glove for the trigger bite, not for the rough texture of the grip. It wouldn't bother me whatsoever in a self defense situation, but for extended range times I prefer to wear a glove.

XDs is my carry gun, went to the range this morning, didn`t intend to shoot it but couldn`t resist, put a few mags of 200gr lswc through it.
Great gun, never a failure, no gloves, and it don`t bite. (sorry, mainsail :) )
