Has anybody had any experience with 41 mag rifle loads using the xtreme plated bullets? (www.xtremebullets.com)

They suggest a max of 1500 feet per sec. which is faster than most plated I've seen.

I did contact them and asked the same question, they said no problem.

However I'd like to see if anyone has some real world experience.

This would be for a Marlin 1894 CCL 41 mag with a 20" barrel.

Thanks, Don.

PS: Anybody have any favorite loads for this or a similar setup?

I have an 1894c in 44mag and their plated bullets fed terrible in that gun. The bullet was too broad. Also if the bullet was forced into the receiver it would shave a portion of the bullet.
I had terrible leading with them as well which I blame on user error.
They will send you samples, I am not bashing on Extreme I have shot 1000s of their .45acp RN plated

I've shot them thru my Marlin .41 rifles without any problems. I don't load them beyond mid-range load velocities as I'm only trying to punch a hole in paper and not take game. If you really want to work up hot loads you'll have to use jacketed bullets. BTW, I haven't had any feeding issues with my guns.

Yeah, not looking for hot loads at all. Just want to punch holes at the range.
