• Possible Downtime Alert

I am working to migrate THR from the current cluster to a new one. I would like to get this done before the weekend, but it's unclear what the timeframe will be, as testing is still ongoing. As I am writing this the new (rebuilt) host is doing a burn-in to ensure that everything will keep running under load.

When the migration happens users will see a Cloudflare message indicatating it cannot connect to the server. This is expected, and depending on how the migration goes this may last from 30 minutes to 3 hours - I won't know more until testing the various migration options is complete and I have finalized the plan.

More information is available in this thread.

As always, thanks so much for your patience.

The model 915, which is basically the same gun, is still in Marlins catalog with an MSRP around $200. I suspect these are leftovers since before the Ruger buyout. I doubt they are actually in current production.

The model 15Y was introduced in 1984. It's a simple, perfectly useful little tin-can killer.

The Marlin "Little Buckaroo" was a low priced rifle to teach a kid how to shoot. Someone wants one badly enough that Gunbroker has four bids on one, and the auction is up to $201.00.
Thanks so much for the reply.my uncle had said people found them attractive because they were so much shorter than regular.22 for squirrel hunting and stuff.i did not know it was a little buckaroo.I'm learning.i kind of like just for the fact it takes longs and shorts.thanks.

It honestly is pretty clean. besides surface rust. somebody at yard sale bought for son.son run off for good and he just wanted gone. I just happened to be standing by when rain started and he pulled from under table. I almost fell over.said is it for sale? He said yea 20 bucks you want it .heck yeah lol.

Those are nice little .22s! Get one of these to clean the rust off. The blue might be ok. Buy from this site because they make them and it's the best deal. You don't want a stainless steel pot scrubber. Thes work great! Good luck and post a follow up.

My dad bought my younger brother one of those when he turned 13. Many squirrels fell to it. I think it’s behind the door at my dad’s house with a skinny cheapy Kmart/tasco scope. Great gun.
when I was 14, my bike buddy showed up with a .22 short version of that rifle. We just slung to our back and off to the woods we go! So much FUN! beer bottle didn’t stand a chance

On of the first things my little brother did when my dad handed him the gun and a little 50rd box of ammo was to lay prone in the road and start pumping the stop sign full of holes as fast as he could load that single shot. My dad almost lost his mind😏

Should be a fun little rifle! I have a Glenfield 780 from the early 70s that is a good rifle. I had an elderly woman client (I'm a building contractor) who told me she had a .22 that had been her dad's and it hadn't been used since the '70s. It was a Glenfield model 60 and she told me she wanted a $100 dollar bill for it. It was very nice so I agreed. When she was digging it out of a closet she said, oh, there is another one. Just take it too! The bolt gun is more accurate than the 60! Here with another model 60 with a scope on it. That is another story in itself. DCP_4906.JPG

My sons learned to shoot with that model of Marlin. A great little rifle. I would have kept it but it really is too small for adults.

Lol I had thought of giving to my nutso 12 year old. you just changed my mind lol he's that kind of kid.
it different times, seeing a child & bike with a rifle strapped to their back is not innocent anymore.

Big back the 90’s man!!! 😢

(Used car salesman voice) Listen it’s gonna go bang but it’s not THAT great… tell ya what, I’ll do ya a real favor here and give you your money back if ya want it, and I shouldn’t even offer that. I’m only doing that for ya because you seem like that kind of fella that a guy wants to help out.

Well done. You don’t hardly find 22s with wood stocks anymore.

I had one on my first .22 in the early 70s. 7.99 Tasco 3/4" 4 power TV view. Hit almost all of the things I shot at even using old Remington Thunderbolts. I never knew it was junk even when the guys I out shot told me it was. Still have it somewhere.

Nice find @junkdrunk 😎

I have a JC Higgins 22 that my dad picked up for $25 at a garage sale in the early 90s.
