Official caption, from U.S. News: "A training exercise by Yemen's elite Counterterrorism Unit."

My caption: "Abdul, the front sight is supposed to go between the posts on the rear sight!"

The article also makes a comment about Yemen having a "gun culture", with 60 million firearms for only 20 million people. I don't now if I'd call it "culture", since that word connotes a sense of refinement.

That was a nice shot between the eyes, though. Too bad it only took three mags to get it.

:) Shot spotters have kept more than one Marine from going unq.

Not that I would ever do such a thing.

David Hackworth in About Face talked about the "M1 pencil". I guess it isn't so easy now, using 22 caliber bullets?

What's funny, is we use the exact same target to qualify with at DOC. I have never had anyone on our range miss that badly, though...

My guess is that there was some wind and/or someone played with the front sight too much.
