I guess another AR picture thread won't hurt.
These are my two AR fun rifles.
The one on the left is built on DPMS A1 Upper and standard forged lower.
Barrel is a DPMS, 20" H-Bar 1-9 non chrome
Bolt abd Carrier are also DPMS in chrome.
The trigger is a Rock River two stage and the rest of the guts and furniture are Mil-Spec from everywhere.
The magazine release is a Norgon Ambidextrious
I built this to resemble what the Canadians wanted when they first put down the specifications for the C-7 rifle.
It is a sound shooter and loads of fun, I actually prefer the A1 sights for irons because I was using the M16A1 during my time in service, the A2s didn't start arriving until my last year and I didn't get a whole lot of play time with them.
I never did like the three shot burst feature and still don't.
The Canadians wisely kept the full auto selector.

Second rifle on the right is built as a citizens semi-auto version of the Marine Corp M16A4.
It is built on a Double Star forged lower and Evolution Gun Works forged lower.
I used a Bushmaster Government profile 20" A2 barrel, 1-9 twist chrome lined.
Harder than heck to get stuff from Knights Armament on the civilian side so I chose Yankee Hill two piece 1913 'Picatinney' rail forend and the detachable carry handle is a Prairie River.
This rifle also has a Rock River two stage trigger and a Norgon ambidextrious magazine release.
Front broomstick is from SOG
Rest of the works are mil-spec from a number of sources.
This riflle is also great fun and plenty accurate for informal shooting and it is great fun to set up claybirds out to 200 meters and see how many I can break using just iron sights.
Plinking is the best form of shooting there is and these rifles give me great pleasure in this arena.
