Yeti has disassociated themselves with the NRA https://www.nraila.org/articles/20180421/florida-alert-yeti-drops-nra-foundation And I thought I'd post an alternative. Cordova Coolers http://www.cordovacoolers.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9oi1uMzO2gIVxrbACh0yJAVREAAYASAAEgLiJfD_BwE are located in Boise, Idaho and their coolers are made in the USA. Scott Campbell is a co-owner and is known as a crab boat captain- "Junior" - on Deadliest Catch until back problems forced him out of that business. Both Scott and his partner are Life members of the NRA and support the 2A. And their coolers are also available on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Cordova-Cool...ncoding=UTF8&refRID=7GDQPRPEPXCA7ZNW6VWB&th=1

Thanks for the information. My bait coolers need updating, I will stay away from the Yeti. What a bad move on their part. I'm sure they will regret this decision.

Maybe a new slogan. "NRA members that own a Yeti, now it's time to turn it into confetti".

Thanks for posting that here; although I saw it in a couple other places. It's important to get that information out. I don't understand why some companies want to alienate and turn off such large numbers of people as Yeti must surely be doing with this decision. I take those types of things into consideration when spending money and as an NRA Endowment member their decision will cause me to look elsewhere. The "Ozark Trails" ( Wal-Mart house brand) coolers have a model that looks to be in direct competition to a Yeti cooler and I have heard very good things about them besides being priced much better. I'm going to take a long, hard look at them and one of my criteria will be to find out if they were made by Yeti under contract to Wal-Mart. Anyone know the answer to that one? Thanks to the OP I can now also check out Cordova Coolers and I'd be glad to support those who support the 2A.

My Yeti will find a new home. And the sale of it will contribute to the purchase of a different cooler. Good job Yeti.

RTIC is also a brand that competes with yeti. They are well known in TX and support all outdoor sports, incl shooting sports

YETI No More.png For those of you planning to sell your cooler or orther YETI product, be sure to take the name off as others are vowing to do. I hope they see a major drop in their sales.

I know that story is from 2016, but they’ve been suing Wal-Mart for years. Usually the judge just makes Wal-Mart change the cup and lid dimensions (or other item, in this case) enough that it doesnt comparably resemble the yeti product.

The technology itself isn’t usually the issue. It’s been around a long time.

Hmmm, don't own any yeti stuff, (too pricey for this old f#$t...) but maybe those that do might have fun with tannerite.

I've never understood what they offered for the very high price over say an Igloo or Coleman, so needless to say I don't have any Yeti stuff.

.......... Thanks for the info.......Looks like I could take a look at those Ozark Trails coolers and not have to worry about them being made by Yeti under contract to Wal-Mart..... Yeti is free to not support the NRA and 2nd Amendment and I am free to purchase a cooler of my choice elsewhere.

I never heard of them until I started watching "Meateater" seems really strange for a high end cooler maker who's customers are primarily outdoors men who hunt and fish to decide to make a move like this.

Seriously, the production I work on advertizes Yeti.

Never, ever again will they be seen on my segments, ever.

Any company that attacks the Constitution and those that uphold it will not be on my show, ever, if I can help it.
NAACP, NRA, ALCU, ect. are more important to our freedoms than making $ backing the idiots that are bringing this country down.

Doesn't make sense from a business perspective. Yeti products are aimed at outdoorsmen, of whom hunters and gun owners are a significant part. Why would they alienate a significant portion of their customer base?

Even Yeti can't re-invent the laws of thermodynamics, but, I have a very skeptical friend who swears they are a step up. Still, a hunting bud and I are planning a two week, at least, chukar and pheasant hunt this fall, pretty sure I know who's cooler we wont be using.

I encourage everyone to drop the company a note. It would be great for the analysts and marketing groups to have zero doubt about what is causing a drop in their sales.

Check out Orion coolers. Equally high end and they have bottle openers at each corner.

Maybe yeti is hoping to appeal to the snowflakes. Maybe enough of them will climb in a cooler with their Tide pods so as not to melt to keep the company in the black.
