A friend and I ran into these little things in our local Academy and actually fell in love. I know 410 isn't exactly a power house, but they are ridiculously light and trim, the fold in half (well almost) for storage, and at a smooth 129 brand new, its definitely a cheap date.

does anyone have any experience with them? im not expecting a world class shooter here, just something that isn't going to fall apart after a box of shells. seems like they would be a nice little thing to have around at that price point. :D

From what iv read on them, they seem like a great little gun for the money. Just wanting to see if any of you guys have any experience with them

I bought Dad the 20 gauge O/U a couple years ago. Money well spent, nice shooter, box after box after box... And it came with an assortment of choke tubes.

Thanks guys. A friend and I will both be picking one up before squirrel season.
Oh, and we plan to try to pop a pig with a good slug or maybe buckshot. Course we will have our 45acp handguns should that not go well. :)

If you look at the ballistic tables, slugs aren't very effective with .410. I'd go with buckshot. Ballistic Products puts out a tech manual (just a few pages) on high velocity round ball loads from the .410, if you reload.

I'm very happy with my Yildiz. I cut the barrel to be even with the stock when folded (for carry in a backpack), reblued and installed a new bead. It put five buckshot in a tiny little group at 10 yards, but more testing is needed. Be forwarned: a 3" buckshot round in a featherweight shotgun does have some kick, but nothing unmanageable.

The short barrel also allows one-hand, muzzle-down carry by the pistol grip (with the action open, of course), without the muzzle touching the ground. It would be very handy for walking one's property line, just in case. Sort of like the old Snake Charmer shotgun.

I'm also messing with a Short Lane adapter that lets me shoot .410 in my 20ga. single shot. I love it! Better groups than expected, and the adapter was just $25.

All my best,
Dirty Bob
