I voted 9mm, and carry it at all waking times except while at work and while traveling to and from work (at my full-time job, in EMS.) At work, I'm disarmed; while traveling to and from, I carry a gun in .32ACP. My job is three days each week.

I do have another job, one night each week, in pizza delivery. The 9mm rides with me then, too.

.32 ACP in a Mauser HSc. It does what is needed.

I carry different guns on different days. Depends on weather a lot and my clothing. Situation is mighty important to. In order of frequency carried:

    45 acp
    38 special
    357 magnum

I carry two simultaneously... One in .40sw, and one in .32acp.

    .45 ACP.

    Unless I'm up north, then it's 10mm.

.38 spec with a .25 back up cause if they get that close its not gonna matter, placement is king.

45 acp 98% of the time. When I dress up to go out, I carry 9mm. Only because I have a better holster for a suit that fits my 3913.

Nice gun. A true classic compact for a reason.

45 ACP in a Lightweight Commander. I carried it for 2 years in SE Asia, it never let me down. While a 9mm may expand, a .45 ain't gonna shrink. Big holes let out more blood.

10mm! Love my G29 SF. I have abandoned every pistol caliber except .22 LR and 9mm for it.

I can't vote for just 1, because for me, it varies between .380 in the summer, .38 Special and 9mm the rest of the year, 10mm when camping/hunting/hiking, and .357 when working on my parent's property. So that's 5 different calibers, depending on time of year, type of clothing, and environment.

Most of the time 9mm but as the Summer progresses the 38SPL gets more pocket time.

Fewer big holes vs more smaller holes, two sides of the same coin.

If I can't dress around either of my compact class carry guns then I weigh the risks and either go without a gun or don't go. I haven't bought a pocket gun or as my son calls them, hooker guns.

I lobbied for including the 10mm in the poll, because I enjoy mine and may buy another one day...but my EDC is a .45acp.
