I can’t even pronounce that :) Affordable and German is rarely ever spoken together. Cool looking gun!
 
My favorite cheap gun is my SAR CM9 Gen2. I paid $250 for it, shipped. It's a sort of CZ-P07 clone with some Tanfoglio tossed in. People love or hate the grip texture, it looks like weird fingerprints. I love it. It's been totally reliable, is accurate as just about any service type semiauto I have, and with the laser I have on it, pretty much impossible to miss with. Wow, the cheapest I see it going for right now is $378. It's STILL not a bad gun for the price. At $250-300 it was just an insane bargain.

I was going to recommend something from Ruger, but that is probably good advice. Glocks are so prolific that used ones are all over the place and at good prices. Even if it costs a bit more, I think I'd rather pick up a used Glock than most anything cheaper new.

I'll still recommend one of the Ruger American rifles as my top pick for a budget centerfire rifle and their 10-22.

Unfortunately many budget guns we bought years ago are no longer budget guns. That rifle would cost someone $500+ today. Lever actions in particular are crazy right now. I recently sold 3 lever guns for almost $4800.

Which is exactly why I'm having a hard time recommending a budget shotgun. My default answer has always been a Remington 870. But I'm a bit afraid of the most recent used guns, and the older guns are selling for too much. The current production guns are an unknown. But If pressed I think I'd take a chance on one of the new ones since Ruger bought them.

870 Express was mid-$200 a few years back at Walmart. I pick my up for $170-ish during a Black Friday sale. It on of my favorite shotgun. I can break 22-24 at the Trap field and it doesn’t fail.

Carry gun is a different beast! depends on my dress but: CZ P07, CZ Shadow 2, Colt Defender .45, STI VIP .40, and Ruger LC9

but this thread is about Good Affordable Fun Guns!!!

I hear alot about the SAR guns, I’m on a raincheck now for a T-Sauce 1911A1. $319 . I’m holding that affordable money tight! not going to spend it! lol

My favorite affordable's - Taurus G3c, EAA witness snubby, GSG 1911 22lr, Henry H001 paired with a Heritage Rough Rider. I recently picked up a SAR K2 45c, which is reasonably affordable.
Hard to not pick one of the gazzillion AR15s out there right now.

I remember when those Bear Creek Uppers we right at $200 or under! and they run too, a little Flitz and Dreamel helps too
 
My first thought was how much of a bargain the 510’s I have are, much more value to them than what I paid for them.

Then I thought that every gun I own was affordable to me, even the ones that cost thousands. Is there a dollar figure for “affordable” or is that just dependent on how deep one’s pockets are?
 
If the newer Taurus 856 is anywhere near as good as my old model 85 from the mid-90s, it should be a great value.


In a way I am surprised to see Bersa not mentioned more. But then again with the general decline of the full-sized .380 in the mold of the classic Bersa Thunder, I guess I shouldn't be. Don't know what they are going for now, but mine was a good value at ~$300 with tax.
 
I'm not really into budget guns but my Ruger 77/22 shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards with cheap 22 ammo. My Ruger Mark?? shoots better than I can shoot a pistol.

BCA eats brass! but a little polishing helps, and that side charger is like having a AK without having a AK

for me Affordable is tons of features and reliability without having to drop way over price. I also like the Affordable options so that the big time gun makes will keep their price in check

here one! $600 msrp but selling for $490’s and even cheaper on sale. Has everything you want in a carry 1911 for 1/3 the price
