Like many people here, I have a big box full of holsters, several of them are from Milt Sparks, some from Kramer Leather...as well as other good holster makers. (Okay already, so maybe a couple of boxes and some stuffed in various spots too). I have leather, I have kydex, I have hybrids, pocket holsters, single clips, dual clips, snaps, straps, loops, even a belly band. But my very most favorite holster is this one: The Nightingale Leather Griffon V in Cordovan with Elephant trim made for my Colt Commander. The leather is exceptionally smooth and of top quality, the comfort is unsurpassed. The workmanship is top notch. It is very, very functional and I think it is a beautiful piece of gear as well. I really like this holster; it is my most favorite holster of all the ones I own; what's yours? Colt%20OWB%20Set%20Up_zpsu58nhfsf.jpg

At the moment, Comp-Tac MTAC is my favorite.

But there's about 10,000 other holsters out there that I haven't tried yet.

This is when it was new. A bit of wear, but it still is the one that seems to fit me and my style best.

I have many 'favorite holsters'.

One each for many different handguns I own.

Picking my favorite holster for a S&W Chiefs Special, would not be my favorite holster for any other handgun I own.

Neither would any favorite holster for my 1911's, or SIG's be of any use with the Chiefs Specials.

Right now I like the DeSantis SOF-TUCK for all of my smaller concealed carry guns and their Mini Slide for my Ruger SR9c. Very comfortable to wear and does a great job concealing the gun.

The Mad Dog GunGlove variants which were made to fit specific models (their down fall :( since mass production and adjustablility were not there ) are still my favorite. Retension is perfect, reholstering is right at the very top of holsters. They were thin and very light and there is nothing like a Taylor Thunderbolt 1.5" loop one on a Liger belt for every day carry and speed IMHO. I have many of them. I carried a Glock 26 in one for years, before I fell out with Glock, and it was extremely fast like no other rig! Here is the truncated Verturi Model which fits Officer's Acp models and happens to fit this Star PD. On a Liger belt it is right there when you want it, and you don't feel the weight .

MD made many varieties of holsters, Here is a rare one for 629 S&Ws when the Navy Seals requested some proto types for their brief time fooling with 629 and underwater loads :) , now my son carries it in bear country :)
also notice the "breecher's clip" which MD produced for govt. agencies for very short 870s that could be clipped to rigger's belts. The clip locks into the action bar area and keeps the gun secure and the action immobilized in case you want to carry it chamber empty and uncocked :) I have one on my OLD top folder but trust me you want some suspenders on that riggers belt :)

I have 69-holsters and change the one I wear daily, but keep coming back to scabbards.

Here is one of the newest ones I have, a Thad Rybka Rhodesian.

I've got two favorites for IWB and another two for OWB.

My IWB favorites, for two different reasons, are Alien Gear and Milt Sparks Summer Special. The Summer Special has slightly better retention and stability, the Alien Gear is more comfortable and conceals with less cover garment.

OWB favorites are a Galco Concealable just because it's comfortable and secure. Second to that is a Bianchi that has a smaller footprint around my beltline, but very little cant. Sometimes i need that for the type of clothes I'm wearing.

Out of the ones I've tried, the favorite IWB is King Tuk, very comfortable and fits both my G17 and G26. And the favorite OWB is the lowly cheap Glock Sports and Combat holster. I actually like it so much that I am not even looking for a different OWB one.

I also have Remora which I find OK to uncomfortable (this has probably more to do with my expanding waist line...) and a Fobus which was honestly a waste of money.

Here's a couple of my favorites.
The leather is from our very own Graveyard Jack's by CraigC.
The kydex is an Alpha iwb from Squared Away Customs.

I've always been weirdly enamored with holsters, yet just as weirdly, can't seem to get too attached to any of them, even though I've somehow accululated a whole bunch of them.
Going by regular usage, I'd have to say my "favorites" are a couple sub-$20 pocket holsters I got off e-bay,LOL!! :D

For my Series 70 OWB the Askins Avenger. IWB White Hat Holster.

My favorite is the Alien Gear Cloak tuck 3.0, or at least that's what I keep strapping on every day. Longevity isn't great (I have had to replace a back in a 2.0 model) but the warranty is good, fast, and lifetime.

My second favorite is a Comp-Tac Minotaur that I have had for years. It has held up well, and I bought another shell for it when I switched carry guns. Even after the Comp-Tac was fully broken in, though, the Alien gear is more comfortable out of the box.

Pretty boring. Comp Tac CTAC. I've carried a concealed pistol in my CTAC, possibly, more than all other guns in all other holsters combined, over the, oh...8-9 years I have owned said holster. Comfortable, secure, highly adjustable, extremely durable, thin, conceals well, basically seems to be the perfect IWB concealment holster.

I have leather holsters of all types too, including multiple Mil Sparks, Simply Rugged, Galco, and others, I have hybrid holsters from many of the big names, I have ankle holsters, duty type rigs, safepacker, smartcarry, all kinds...as most who have been gunnies/carriers for years probably do. But carry is what handguns are primarily about, for me, and the CTAC just does it better than the rest.
