I finely brock down and got a GP100 6" .357 after years of not having one. I like to take pictures of coyotes up close and have almost been bittin 3 times. I'm still working up hand loads, I've been loading for about 30 years and it's always fun. Geneo

2009

Best purchase this year was a great condition Smith and Wesson Model 10
.38 Special with the 2in barrel. I always wanted a Model 10.

Probably the Springfield XD45 I bought for cheap from my buddy but the XD9 and Bersa Thunder 380 are really nice too. For the price the Bersa is awesome! I have not had a single misfeed or misfire from any of these.

My new carry Kahr...CW40. Fits my hand like a glove.

Well, as of last weekend, the Les Baer.

Subject to change...there are still three weeks left in the year. But don't hold your breath. :)

Hard to choose. I bought the Glock for it's utitility, the 22/45 because its economical to shoot and the GP100 because the old style wood insert grips beckoned me. So the GP100 I guess.

I bought a sigma 40 and an m4a3 from rock river, both were great. But fro some reason I like the Maverick 88 tactical I got the most. Not really sure why but i love it

My Sig P225 which I currently carry, although I carry a lot of different Sigs depending on my "mood" at the time.

I have to say, my "best/most bang for the buck" handgun that I purchased this year is my 3 week old Bersa .45 UC Pro in nickel....
Just a great firearm, shoots well, recoil is very manageable(for a compact type .45 with a slightly longer that 3.5" barrel).
Paid $320.00 NIB for it....I think it's a keeper! :D

Interesting question. Funny how long a year can be and how easy it is to lose track of things you've done. Here is what I have to choose from -

Those pictures are sniped off the interweb. My camera is croaked and these are better images than I could make anyway.

I think that the answer to your question "which is the most satisfying" is influenced somewhat by which is the most recent. Everybody likes a new gun, learning is fun. That is the Springfield M1A in my case. Looking forward to sending many rounds downrange next Summer.

Though I've been in need of a good shotgun for close to 2 decades now so I'm definately glad to finally have another one of those. It is a practical purchase for me, the only other shotgun I have is a black powder double barrel. The Kriss was more of an investment than anything else. Maybe I'll shoot it more once I get a chance to work up a good hollowpoint handload but at this time I am far from impressed by the performance of factory hardball target loads.

I didn't buy any pistols this year. I reckon a dozen of those is enough to cover most any circumstance I can foresee... For the time being. There are a some I've been considering but they would replace a niche I've already filled.

My most satisfying pistol purchase of the year.....

Definitely the HK P7 I picked up the other day! After one short range session I am head over heals in love with this gun!!

Actually, haven't completed the purchase, however, I have ordered a sig p226 blackwater tactical

Well it was the most surprising and satisfying purchase. My Glock 27.

I have a Glock 23 that I have had for years and never really liked at all. Just a sample for the collection. Didn't like the way it shot or the grip or much of anything other than the price I paid for it. Anyway, I have a friend that is a FBI agent and he wouldn't give up on getting me try his G27 on an extended shooting session. It was night and day. I love it. It is my everyday carry gun now... backed up by my new S&W Model 60 (my second best gun purchase of 2009).

Of the guns purchased this year, there are three that stand out.

1. Unfired 1971 Python, 6"
2. Unfired 1979 Diamondback 38, 21/2"
3. Nighthawk GRP 45

Next week (which is still this year) a Bill Wilson carry 45 and a Ruger SR556 are being picked up, so the Wilson may hit the list.
