Your Opinion - H&K VP9 vs. Walther PPQ M2 vs. Canik TP9SFX?

FWIW, I read an article comparing and contrasting the Walther to the HK VP and the conclusions reached were that the Walther build quality was better .. forged block slide vs spot-welds on the HK VP slide.
Defense Review, maybe? Maybe do some Google-fu sleuthing. Again, take this with a grain of FWIW.

I have no first hand experiences with any of the models (PPQ, PDP, VP9, Canik)

Yet have you or anyone else ever heard of VP9 locking block breaking with the hundreds of thousands of VP9s ot there? I really dig both my VP9 and PPQ but honestly I have read about more problems with the PPQ including a couple slides breaking at higher round counts than the VP9 though problems with the PPQ are pretty darn sparce.

The Canik is the best bang for the buck. Extremely reliable and the trigger is better than the other two listed. The only problem is the lack of availability of magazines. 3 years ago the magazines were all over the place. now they are nowhere to be found.

That's very debatable. Honest Outlaw said in his review that the PDP had a better trigger than the Canik Rival. Still most anyone would be happy with the trigger quality on especially the Walther and Canik and probably the VP9 too. I like the VP9 trigger better as a self defense trigger but also find it excellent for the range also.

I picked up a Canik METE SFx at the fun show last month. Took it out back to see if it worked, and got this at 30':

Trigger better than my Gucci 'Glocks', and actually the first plastic-gun trigger close to a 1911, albeit with a ton more take-up. Great build quality, and awesome case and accessories. My wife's response when I opened the case was, "That one looks expensive!"; this in a house filled with 1911's and other various more expensive guns.

I'll be buying a few more when I see something compact in stock.

I've own all 3, with thousands of rounds thru them all and the Canik Rival, and Elite Combats are better overall and significantly better triggers than the HK VP9 or PDP. However ergos (grip) on VP 9 and PDP are best at about 9 to 10 out of 10, while Canik is close at 8 out of 10.
