Actually, I think it may be better to say that "We are just laying one stone in the construction of this dam against the torrential waters of the anti gun extremists. We have many years of work ahead of us to build the great dam to completely halt the flood the extremists caused".

Your comparison likened us, the good guys, as the floodwaters. We are supposed to be the dam, the extremists are the floodwaters who destroy homes and take many lives.

I will immensely enjoy seeing DC being handed its butt on a platter. I continue to be amazed at the audacity of those in power.

What I just cannot understand though, is why do the people of DC continue to elect people like Fenty and others to office? Do they just not see? or just don't care?

Once again a municipality decides what laws of the land they choose to acknowledge. DC government is acting like spoiled brats holding their breath until they pass out rather than do the right thing.

We need the Feds to step in and thump them a little.

We need victories on the ground. Another court order telling DC that they're violating the constitution won't have any more effect than the last two. They don't care. And as I have said since the day the Heller ruling was announced, short of sending in the military, as was done in Brown, the District of Columbia will not comply with the ruling and will not follow the Constitution.
