Yugo M72 RPK Price Check

I think that price is about what they'd go for down where I live. Standard M70 underfolders are over $500, so $100 more for an RPK would be about right.

that is a pretty good price for an rpk. you wont be saying its high when they stop selling and you cant find one for under 1500. jg sales has them for 679, which is the cheapest i have seen. i am looking for one, but am not willing to pay 679 at this point in time.

the barrels are NOT chrome lined either.

$679 from J&G? :what: They had them for $500 just a couple months ago!

Since this is my local shop (Jim Pruett's), I may have to just snag one of 'em. The feel is SO much better than a regular AK.

Thanks again.

EDIT:
Welcome to THR, jaak!

The bore is not chrome lined on a M72.

Another option is you could always build your own. You can still find parts kits on GUnbroker for around $300, plus a Nodak receiver for a shade under $100, add in around $50 for compliance parts, and the big thing, if you know someone with the proper rivet tools to help with a build, and you can get it done for around $450-500

Here is my home build I got done for $385. BY FAR my favorite rifle I own.

Oh, nice! That is the original Yugo barrel, correct? What kind of accuracy do you get out of it?

Building one isn't really feasible for me, since I don't know anyone with riveting equipment.

Yep, original Yugo barrel. Accuracy is alright, probably in the 3-4" range at 100 yards. The limiter being that I have been using Wolf which is not known for match grade accuracy. I am getting into reloading 7.62x39 and hope to shrink that accuracy to 1-2".

I just love this rifle. The heavy weight, the bipod, the sights, and just the way it feels with me set up prone. It truly is a light machine gun, not just a souped up AK.
