I'm considering buying a Zabala SxS 12ga that I found online but I can't find any info on this particular model. The ad says it was mfg for Blumenfeld distributers as the "Volunteer". 12 Ga. SxS, with 3" chambers and 22" bbls with fixed chokes Mod/ IC. The seller says the barells do not appear to be cut down and it has an English stock. The receiver is finely engraved and brightly case colored. Very light and dainty at just a tad over 5 Lbs. This gun is built a lot like the AyA. I'm suspicious of the 22" bbl not being cut. All the info I could find on Zabala's guns were with 26" bbls or longer and none were called the Volunteer. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

From a thread on another forum:

Volunteer Arms was located in Knoxville, TN in the 1970s. Many of their guns were made by the Spanish compamy, Zabala.

HTH. I too would be leery of those barrels not being cut down. 22" would be very short and the swing dynamics would tend to be horrible. Zabala Hermanos made respectable guns
