I guess if one likes ivory style grips it is OK. Not downing those pistols, but most are not ivory. Spent too much time in Alaska to know what real fossilized ivory is. The real white ivory must have come from recently killed animals and shows no color. I am no fan of either.

There's something simply elegant about an 1860 with a shoulder stock...maybe not completely practical, but pleasing to the eye. On a stainless one even more so--but the temptation to see the stock's brass fittings silver plated is one thing I never anticipated! Beautiful!
Being a Colt lover since I was a kid, I fell in love with 2nd generation stainless steel 1860, complete with matching rifle stock.
