1) a big pocket (think cargo pant slash pocket)
2) a good belt
3) a proper good holster

Yes, the Glock 26 will pocket carry.

Bigger than a J frame, smaller than a 36. When I do pocket carry a g26 I use a DeSantis Nemesis.

I've got a 27 and to me it's way too big to be carried in a pocket.

I carry it IWB and have no problems concealing it with just a t shirt. FYI I'm 6'3" 210 and I have no idea what the guys that are pocket carrying a 26, 27, etc are wearing. Even the biggest pockets on my cargo shorts aren't big enough to comfortably carry it in.

When wearing dress slacks or cargo shorts, I carry my G27 in a DeSantis Nemesis w/ 2 full mags in the weak side pocket. It pocket carries much better w/o the pierce grip extension; I keep the stock mag in the gun for this reason & the two additional mags have the extensions. Since the mags are rolling loose in the weak-side pocket, the extensions make it much faster to orient the mags for quick reloads. I am 6' 250, so I have large pockets. When wearing jeans, I IWB carry the Glock or pocket carry a J-frame smith. I occasionally carry a full size 1911 in an OWB Pancake or an XDm .40 in a Crossbreed Supertuck. When wearing slacks with smaller pockets (like suit pants), I stick with the J-Frame Smith in the strong side pocket. In other words, you need to buy a lot of guns to accomodate your clothes. Either that or get a FanniePack (MURSE); I use one for either the XDm, Glock or 1911 when walking in sweats or jogging shorts. Need it for the I-Pod and phone anyway. In response to Bryan, My pockets are easily large enough for the G27; that probably means I am too big to drive his Z06.

Pockets are proportional to the waistband. Big waistband, big pockets.

It's that simple.

It's too big and too heavy for almost all of my pants pockets. The only pocket mine works in is in my big winter jacket...on an inside breast pocket. While some guys carry one in their pocket, it's really NOT a pocket gun. I think a majority of people who try it in a pocket don't end up carrying it that way. A S&W 642 or a Keltec P3AT/Ruger LCP...those are more like pocket guns.

I believe it weighs around 26 ounces when loaded. Because of the shape of it, it's harder to conceal in a pocket than a J frame is. It looks like you're trying to smuggle a brick. Overall...I just can't recommend it for pocket carry. Great little pistol though.

In a pinch, sure, but for long term carry only in the largest of pockets, and even then it "prints" noticeably. A pocket holster does help to break up the outline so it does not appear to obviously be a gun - more like a paperback book. It is just too thick and blocky.

I carry a Glock 26 every day in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster. I wear starched pleated front Docker type pants. They usually have generous pockets. I never carry anything else in that pocket, and I would never pocket carry the naked gun. Hmmm. sounds like a good movie title?

IWB is OK, although it still prints more than some. I wouldn't do pocket carry in anything other than the cargo pants I wear, and then I'd still have it holstered in a Nemesis.

I have used the 26 for pocket carry but don't ever do it as it is bulkier than the J frame but with the j frame you only get 5 rounds. Its a toss up but for me the j frame goes it the pocket pile and the 26 goes in the IWb holster pile.

I carry both in my pocket, and the J frame feels much better. That is, until you go to shoot it. When it comes time to shoot these guns, the Glock is much superior IMO. The Glock has great sights and is very accurate. Recoil is easily controllable, and it is about as reliable as you can get with all magazines including 17 and 33 rounders. The J-frame is nice in the pocket, and reliable, but if I had to choose I'd choose the Glock for everything other than pocket carry.

I have an inside the waistband holster and in some spots around the waist, the Glock 26 is perfectly comfortable. So yes, it's carryable. It's
a bit thick so don't try to stuff it into a really tight pair of pants (at the waist). The gun and holster need to have just a pinch of breathing room for bending, sitting, etc. But it doesn't print any more than the other of my similarly sized guns. I feel very secure with the Glock.
