I do believe those rifles are actually french FAMAS bullpup rifles, not FN's.
It does seem like way too much scope for a security detail...

I can't tell if you are serious or not. You've never seen a BAR, M60, M249, PKM, MG4, L86A1, or any of the other firearms that have a "shoulder thing that goes up"?
