:( I convinced my girlfriend get a handgun. She bought a little Taurus revolver, and told me to hang onto it because she doesn't know how to clean and take care of it. Well, everything went according to plan, now I have a new gun. :neener:

But I feel bad! :(

Oh man you screwed up. She should really start with an autoloader. Back to the fun store you go.:D

My Springfield Armory XD-9 was bought for my wife to learn the fundamentals of marksmanship with...but she never seems to shoot it as much as I do and is always looking at pocket pistols whenever we pass by the gun counter at Cabella's.

That kind of thing can backfire. My wife has gotten interested enough in guns that she has been known to appropriate my guns when she finds one she likes.

What's up with women and their fetish with pocket pistols?!

Everytime I take my mom to the gun store to look around, she always eyeing at those Taurus PT22 pocket pistols.

Pocket pistols look so much less intimidating than a larger handgun to some people. My mother came home with a little FIE .25ACP once. It was "cute".

Guys, this can come back to bite you in the arse. Case in point: I bought the little woman (well, she used to be little:D) a Nice little Rem 1100 light 20. She made me cut the stock to fit HER. Now how inconsiderate can you get?

I got my wife to buy a Ruger Alaskan in 454. Was a haed sell too. " You stand here dont let them sell that thing til I get back from the truck with my wallet" She said "I got that much on me now and my ID I will buy it."

Hey guys...Remember, Women have a little bit shorter fuze:fire: than most men have. Be careful what you teach the little woman. It could backfire and she'll probably walk.:neener:

Got my wife a Bersa .380, never shot it. Bought by 9 year old and Ruger 10/22, never fired it...where are they to go...into my gunsafe>:p

I have no clue what you are even talking about. My girlfriend likes my 1911's and my AR. I WISH she wanted a pocket pistol....

I explained to my wife that some guns are girl guns and some guns are boy guns and you put them in the gun safe and more guns are liable to show up. So I told her if new guns she has never seen before apear in the safe that she shouldn't worry about it.

What luck. I've been trying to convince my wife that she "needs" a S&W M&P9C. Really, it's the best one for "her." In all honesty she really does like the gun, I just wouldn't mind "borrowing it." ;)

I realize this is a fun, light-hearted thread - so please allow me to provide the wet blanket:

You SHOULD feel bad. Self-defense aint a joke.

If you believe that your GF will be safer for owning and carrying a firearm, you need to teach her how to safely operate and maintain HER Taurus. Sign her up for a class. Have her read Kathy Jackson's excellent writing at corneredcat.com.

Get her armed, and get your own danged Taurus.

OK...you may now return to making jokes about manipulating women in order to obtain free firearms.
