Im wanting a reliable 38. caliber pistol any and all help will be appreciated
his is a taurus crossover according to him thats the name........it looks closer to a beretta 92 than a 1911The only .38 Special automatic I know of is/was the Smith & Wesson 52 target pistol. If you can find one and afford it and want a wad-cutter shooting auto, there's not much that can touch it. Certainly high quality.
There are far more autos in .38 Super (or even its predecessor .38 ACP/.38 Auto) -- and mostly those are 1911 variants. They do tend to be pretty good as they are either older factory guns turned out in a time of hand skills, or more recent custom or specialty guns.
