whats the smallest 38 6 or more shot revolver.. looking for something about the same size as a lcp or tcp or am i asking too much

the sp101 is huge.. the lcr is way smaller

and the sp101 in 38 special is smaller then the .327

Just learn to put 5 shots where they belong and get a J-frame.
This.

You really limit your revolver choices by requiring 6 rounds instead of 5.
If you can't get it done in 5 shots, what makes you think you will do it with 6?

Considered opinion

Colt Detective Special if you must have 6 shots of .38.

Three steel S&W J-frames - 5 shot - are my personal choice. Two 3", one 2".

If it don't say Colt, Ruger, or S&W, pass it by.

check out the S&W J frames..................many choices in .38 special and .357 magnum. quality, dependability and stopping power to get the job done.

A 6 shot revolver in 38 spl is not even going to be close the size of an LCP. A 5 shot J-frame or LCR is IMO (and I own exemplars of each) notably bigger than an LCP. A revolver, let alone a six shot one is simply going to be much wider. As to the SP101 I find it to be much closer in size and to carry much more like my Glock 26 than my LCP.

I don't have a colt D frame but it is roughly the size of a J frame.

I'll try to post some pics later or an LCP by some revolvers.

Old Charter Arms Undercover will do the job for about half the cost of a J Frame Smith & Wesson. Not as pretty but they work. Only five shots though.

Good little guns for the money.

(I know nothing about the new ones really.)
