I walked into a gunsmith today to get the barrel of my Speed Six shortened and turned into a pocket gun. After about an hour, I walked out with my Speed Six intact and a S&W 442 in my pocket...
Still not sure what happened, but I'm not complaining. I still think I'll get the Six re-blued at some point. It is a "US" stamped SS84L that was used as a range gun, but still seems to lock up pretty well. Already replaced the grips, but its got some rough spots in the finish that need some attention...
