Anyone have any experience with the ProMag magazines for te Beretta Bobcat 21a in 22lr. Do they have a good rep? Are they reliable? Should I stick with factory?
Jeez, things are just getting too expensive. I went looking around after reading the OP. You used to be able to find Mecgar mags for the 21A for a few dollars less than the factory mags. That was a deal, because I think Mecgar made the factory mags anyway. Now, if they are available at all, they seem to be the same price as factory or more.
Pro mag sucks, you can feel the difference in just the weight
from the original mag, they use a thinner metal you can feel
it with your thumb. Why not just find used mec gar or used orig mags at a gunshow?
I'm guessing the 21a is for some type of concealed carry? The price difference is negligible. A mag from the Beretta site is about $30. A ProMag is about $20.
Pro-Mags do not have a good rep. Only use them for training(malfunction drills) or last resort. Get factory or Mec-Gars. Mec-Gar probably makes them for Beretta.

The main reason for the inquiry is my bobcat only has 1 mag. I don't like owning a gun with just one mag. I like owing about 5, so at $10 a piece there is no reason to spend the extra money IF the quality is the same.
Based in what I am reading though it is worth the extra $ to stay with factory. Thanks everyone
I have never had a good experience with ProMags. I have tried them in several different pistols I own and they caused nothing but problems. The only one I have that works is one that I spent about 2hrs with my Dremel tool fitting. I never buy them, anymore.
Don't specifically know about the ProMag for the 21A, but just about every ProMag I've ever tried, and there have been several, have pretty much sucked. The only exception has been their plastic mags for the S&W 15-22.
