Levang Linear Compensator I put one of these on my AR. It's supposed to help with recoil, but it's a .223 so there isn't much to begin with. What I like about it is that it directs the noise out the front so it is much more pleasant to shoot.

My dad hunts with an 1187 with a cantilever slug barrel. With Hornady SST's it is really accurate. I had a Ultra Slug hunter in 12 gauge and it was very accurate with the SST's as well Remington copper solids, but it is extremely heavy IMHO.

I carry mine ever day with 125gr HP. I don't mind the recoil even with 158's either. The Badger grips seem to help with the recoil and are nice and purdy too!

If you don't reload, you may want to check ammo availability in your area. You may also want to look into a 22-250. Ballistics close to the .204 with a bigger bullet. Recoil with any of the three is not much.
