    I think we should have a good old fashioned shootout. Stock 10/22's vs Marlins, no rests allowed, and 50 yards the distance... LOL.

    I bought a Marlin 795 two days ago for $110 at Dick's, and then sent in the $25 rebate... At $85 it's not even a contest, I can buy extra mags, a scope and a case and still be less than a 10/22, and more accurate to boot.

    I wouldn't doubt this is possible, if the rifle is sitting in a shooting rest when being shot. Now hitting what you are aiming for from 100 yards with irons is a different story altogether...

    Hey everyone, I'm new here... My only reason I went with a Marlin 795 is because I got it for $85 after taxes and rebate. If they were the same price, I may have gone with the Remmington... (or a Marlin 60 for that matter)
