I am nowhere near match level in my shooting, but I am good enough that I very easily beat everyone in our anual deer camp shoot (its only a buck from everyone I beat which covors what I lose in euchre lol). That said, for 5.56 and 7.62x51 I use LC once fired. For .308 and .300 WSM I use Win...
this is just a hobby, the 220s in a WSM are less than ideal. I just want to see how far I can get them safely. Yes, I know others have already done it, but then others have also built model airplanes and hotrods andboats and... well, you get my point ;). Oh, on the15th, assuming the mini-mall...
Before I begin to go further, can I get someone to post a Quickload on this? I would really appreciate it. The more I look at just how far I am going over, the more I wonder what my pressures are and the less I want to blow my face off. hehehehe
Also, I have been reading that apparently...
Update...
Allrighty all, I finely got some time to go test some 220 grain loads seated to Remington 700 magazine depth (2.860"). Here are the results;
CAUTION: The following post includes loading data beyond currently published maximums for this cartridge. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Neither the...
Very nice Snuffy! BTW, I didnt get the bullets today, none of the stores in the area had em. Ended up with a new hockey skates and stick instead. Too many dang hobbies lol
yeah, for tinkering like this, singles are just fine. I have been to reloaders nest and honestly, I dont like it much. With the exception of a few obvious loads from match shooters, the loads there concern me. At least the loads from loaddata.com are published loads. They may be aenemic, bit...
well, honestly, I am just playing with it seeing if I can get that velocity and accuracy from my rifle. If I do get it, great! If not, cool, I tried. Besides, the SMK is only really good for target shooting. I really like my 180 CTST loads for hunting. There is a reason I am looking HARD at...
for rcmodel; lots of 220 loads for the WSM on loaddata.com. It takes a subscription though which is still cheaper than buying every load manual out there.
I dont mind single loading them. I will have to see that the 220 SMKs seat at to the lands though then go from there.
ETA: Alrighty, 3" even COAL to the lands with the 220 SMK
Hey all,
I did a search looking for some loads, and didn't see any (even with Google). I hope my search-fu isn't failing me lol
Anyway, I have a Remington 700 SPS stainless... MAN I love that rifle. I have loaded everything from 150 grain .308 clones using Ramshot TAC to smoking 180s...
one of my favorite plinking loads with my FsN is 5.8 grains VV 3N38 with any 40 grain ballistic tip. This is pretty much an identical twin to the SS197. I have done no reloading with True Blue, so I can't safely make a comment there.
The main signs of pressure you need to look for with the...
