Yes it is still in the factory stock. I have tried bullets from 150 to 168 grain. The barrel has not been free floated yet. I am going to try some 180 next. Thanks for the load tip Ridgerunner.

Max100 can I ask what you are loading for that rifle. I have the 700 SPS in a 308 that I have had the barrel cut to 20" and finished with a recessed target crown. It is driving me nuts though trying fine a load it likes. I'm looking for a whitetail load in 162 -168 grain bullets.

I realize I would have to have the barrel removed and reworked. The 2" groups I got were with Serria MatchKings. I have a Lepould 2-7 Vari-X II scope on it. I have not tried free floating the barrel yet.
