I have taken a different road entirely on a shotgun sling: I use a bunge cord. With it I can rotate the SG from my back to shoulder firing position in one smooth motion, and am able to wrap the cord aroung my left arm to stablize my aim.
The price is right, too, so if the sling doesn't work...

Also, you suggest there is nothing to be done to a new mag (ie deburring)?

Cali limits are 10 round mags, and Sig 220 original mags are 7 rounds.
I think spending an extra $150 to get me a virgin gun is the way to go.
I am seeking a Sig 220 to buy, in California.
In my town I am being offered one at "98%." It has no rail, a german stamp on the slide (newer mag release), and 4 Sig 7-round mags.
He is asking $770.

Both the graphite coating and scale relocation suggestions are great. Other excellent commiseration comments were that charge disks are far more accurate with pistal loads. I will use all the suggestions (and delete my duplicate postings)!
I am looking for help with inaccurate powder throws with the adjustable throw bar, on light pistol loads (~3-4 grns). I have watched the videos and made good adjustments to all the other subsystems, but cannot get accurate loads (and occasionally get very low throws).
