    M&p 340

The HKS Speedloader works with the MP340 with Crimson Trace grips, but it is tight. However, it is much faster to load the 340 with the speedloader over the speed strips. As I previously stated, I use Bianchi speed strips. They are a slow load.

From a self defense/combat standpoint: what's the deal with thumb safeties?

More useless information: The pistol was designed to comply with the requirements of the U.S. Army, which, during its campaign against the Moros in Philippines, had seen its trusty .38 revolver to be incapable of stopping attackers. An Ordnance Board headed by Col. John T. Thompson (inventor of...

From a self defense/combat standpoint: what's the deal with thumb safeties?

It may not have done the job of stopping the juiced up Moros but it was created as a defensive weapon to do so. http://www.m1911.org/full_history.htm

From a self defense/combat standpoint: what's the deal with thumb safeties?

Why? Because you say so? The story of the 1911 is factual and can be verified on the Internet.

From a self defense/combat standpoint: what's the deal with thumb safeties?

Origin of the 1911 Quote: The U.S. m1911 series was not designed as a defensive weapon system, though many people have forced it into that role today. Doing so effectively requires additional training and/or compromises to the pistol’s safety mechanisms, but it is certainly possible. ~G...

Should your best rifle be a 22LR?

Which High Quality .22 rifle for a left hander I have begun investigating .22 rifles and I am down to looking at a Cooper and a Weatherby. I do not intent to hunt with the rifle. I am interested in competitive shooting. Any input from people who have owned either rifle will be appreciated.

    What A Commercial!!!!!!!!!

"This commercial was done by a local kid. You have to watch the whole thing. When he finishes talking and walks away, you get a sense of how this could be the commercial of the campaign season. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TG4fe9GlWS8

Big Thumbs Up For the Mika Pocket Holster!

How is the Mika on the finish of the guns? I have a new No-Lock Model 37 and I wonder I have been using it for my S&W 340 with CT grips for about 8 months. I use it everyday, and there has been no wear to the gun!

    Gun control at its finest

Good Samaritan I have been told that there is a Good Samaritan Law that prevents lawsuits against a bystander who tries to save someone. Just recently in a CPR class, this question came up and the answer was that you cannot be sued for trying to help/save somebody. Any lawyers want to...

Bob Mika Pocket Holster: First and Second Impressions

A Square Cut, a Round Cut? To tell you the truth, the price was so reasonable, I ordered both, not knowing which I would like better. When they came, I put my S&W 340 M&P CT into the square cut, put it in my front pocket, and it worked so well I have never used the round cut. I have tried the...
