I have the carbine length 444. The recoil does not feel too bad, but the combination of recoil pad compression and recoil did cause the scope to hit me in the eye brow. Getting a long eye relief scope and it should be a piece of cake.

With a long barrel it is easier for a BG to hide behind a corner and grab the barrel as you are searching. In this position the BG has leverage over you.
