I had an Ultra Star 9mm polymer pistol back in the early 90's. Seemed to be a well built pistol, but never put that many rounds through it. It was bought for conceal carry and was just too thick to be comfortable, so I traded it. Wish I still had it.
I bought a Shield in .40 kinda on an impulse. It seemed like a well-built pistol, but I never fired a round through it. I had to sell it because of a bill that needed paying. I know that it was intended to be that way, but it seemed a bit thin for my hands. Kinda like the new Rugers.
There are many that I would like to have, but cannot afford them. Hoping to be able to pick up a decent auto for around $400-$500, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
Lefty here. Don't own a pistol now other than a Kel-Tec .380. Just carry revolvers, but have owned several autos in the past. Most were double action, so I never used the safety. Most had ambi decocker, mag release. But, it's not that hard to adapt to. Especially if you don't have a safety...
I am 5'9" tall and weigh about 165lbs. My shoulders are not all that broad. I have health issues that contribute to my small stature. I find it difficult to carry anything much bigger than a 3" 5 shot revolver. It either prints or is just too uncomfortable. I carry my revolver iwb at about...
I have had a KT .380 for about 2 years now. Not that bad accuracy wise. It did have an issue that I had to send it back for repairs. IIRC, I was shooting and the trigger broke. You could pull it, but it would not move hammer. Haven't had any problems with it since I have had it back. I...
Mine was a High Standard .22. "The Marshall" Got it when I was a probably 12. Still have it today! Would be a rich man if I had a dollar for every round fired through it!
I had a P95. It never missed a beat, but it was hard to conceal. I sold it to a friend who really liked it. He had it on him while bush hogging and dropped it and it was eaten up. It wasn't long before he replaced it with another P95. Very good pistol for a good price. A little large for...
I have owned two Rossi's over the years. Don't remember model numbers, but one was a 5 shot, blue steel .38 snubby. Beautiful gun. No problems. The other was a stainless .357 snubby. Great gun also. They were both traded for something or other that I wanted more.
A friend just bought a Cyclops off Gunbroker. The left grip panel is cracked. Does anyone know of replacement grips that will fit this revolver? Thanks!
I kinda like the looks of the XD9sc and also the Taurus PT111, but I am not sure about Taurus. I have read a lot of good things about them, but also a lot of bad things.
Do the newer PT111's have many problems? What kind of trigger? DAO DA/SA? ???
My son-in-law has a XD9sc, but I haven't fired it.
I have tried out one in .40 IIRC. I have also tried the G26, which was okay. I just want something that is comfortable enough to carry daily.
I am not looking for a pocket gun. Just something small enough to carry comfortably, yet big enough to shoot well. In the past I have carried 5 and 6 shot 38's. I always carried IWB, but am leaning towards OWB carry now.
