What can for the Ruger pc carbine?

TacSol makes this thingy for the 10/22 takedown. It would be sweet if they made one for the new PCC: https://www.tacticalsol.com/xring-takedown-barrels/sb-x-tapered-takedown-barrel You get the length advantages of an integral, but can still move the suppressor around.

    Suppressing A PCC

1)While supersonic suppressed isn't hollywood quiet, it's still quieter than not suppressed. 2)If you want subsonic shortening the barrel and pinning a can, or adding an extension like the Tactical Solutions TSAR or 10/22 barrels gives you quiet in a short handy package. I'm thinking hard about...

Supreme Court asked to recognize a Second Amendment right to sell guns

FWIW, Teixeira maintains the number of parcels in unincorporated Alameda County that meet the 500 ft rule is zero, see p 12/13 of the en banc decision.

NJ arrests another one....this time from Fla.

Consider the revolver forum. MaxP and CraigC frequently post on the subject of big bore revolvers. To my recollection, they very rarely cite sources. I think it would be a great loss if they never posted without taking the time to provide a citation for every factoid they pull out of their fund...

Not without spending a fair amount of time. IMHO, holding forum comments to the same footnoting standards as a dissertation or brief would be a loss; what was posted would be more accurate, but a lot less would be posted. It perhaps an hour to find the decision below for you; many posters don't...

NJ arrests another one....this time from Fla.

It was in the weekly case summary Eugene Volokh posts, with links to the newspaper articles and court documents. Seemed legit to me; he's usually accurate, and the links would have been hard to fake. ETA: here's a lawyer discussing the issue (not the case EV posted)...

Do you, or your parents, take any prescription drugs? If so, when you travel do you always take them in the original container, or do you dispense them into one of those 7 day plastic dispensers? Carry a nitroglycerin pill in one of those keychain containers made for them? When you travel, do...

NJ arrests another one....this time from Fla.

"I call, they tell me their laws, ..." Just FWIW, in my experience cops frequently make some pretty substantial errors when it comes to gun laws. As long as I'm posting, I'll pontificate on the broader issue: Everyone gets that laws vary, and in general when we get a ticket in another state...

The making of a monocore on manual machines

Info I hadn't seen before, from https://www.atf.gov/firearms/docs/atf-national-firearms-act-handbook-appendix-b/download (bottom of page 176): "Q3: May the outer tube of a registered silencer be repaired due to damage? If so, may the repair be done by someone other than the original...

Telescoping gages: http://www.starrett.com/metrology/metrology-products/precision-measuring-tools/hole-slot-gages/Telescoping-Gages I kinda prefer these for smaller holes, FWIW: http://www.starrett.com/category/111401#currentPage=1&displayMode=grid&itemsPerPage=24&sortBy=wp/asc

I dunno what's customary for gunsmiths, but that's not how you'd measure accurately in a machine shop. If you have an even number of grooves you can directly measure a diameter. If you have an odd number, you want a V block or V anvil micrometer. Bridging the gap across two raised parts (where...

1)If you're torquing the micrometer enough to appreciably deform the slug, you're torquing it enough to deflect the micrometer frame. You want contact, not force. And we're only talking about measuring to at best .0001 here. If you're trying to measure to millionths then a lot of factors like...

Very Anti RKBA Law: Cornyn-Schumer-Feinstein-Blumenthal-Murphy legislation, S. 2135.

No; I was trying to follow abajaj11's hypothetical where the list of offenses that bar gun ownership was extended in the future to very minimal crimes, and a promptly paid parking ticket is the mildest offense possible. I was trying to get him to address the disconnect between what offenses bar...

Very Anti RKBA Law: Cornyn-Schumer-Feinstein-Blumenthal-Murphy legislation, S. 2135.

There's the rub, though. Let's try this - imagine there are two parallel worlds. The only difference between them is whether FixNICS passes. In both of them, a few years from now, your "mentally incapacitated as defined by the Attorney general" passes, and the evil AG defines it down to include...

Very Anti RKBA Law: Cornyn-Schumer-Feinstein-Blumenthal-Murphy legislation, S. 2135.

The concern is that once punitive penalties for non-compliance are put in place, these categories can be expanded to include a general category (something vague like: determined by Attorney General, or something) and then the punitive infrastructure will be in place to erode RKBA. If some...
