In my state we pay 8.1% sales tax. I was comparing cost both ways to get the gun to my home. Local shop: $995 + $80 sales tax + $25 background check = $1,100. Online shop: $831 (includes shipping) + $25 FFL + $25 background check = $881. $1,100 - $881 = $219.
