.243 and my Model 700 Rem
In the search for the magic .243 bullet,
55gr example ended up not being able to hold on.. too much jump (ie:short)..
Most anything else with plus weight worked.
100gr-H414 ended up doin' the trick and easy on the barrel.
200gr LSWC, Bullseye (4.6g), CCI 300, w/OAL 1.2"
Shoots well, cleans up easily, measures well enough with this lite a load to not create many problems and is a good starting point. OAL to be adjusted to suit your needs.
I guess the horse is out of the barn with AA2230, works well with smaller calibers ( i use it exclusively w/243 @ 55g), and 222/3.
Anything heavier than 55g, I have better results using slower powder.
