    First question, I ordered new .270 brass unprimed. Is it ready to go, or does it need to be sized first (first time I've used new brass). Second question I picked up some brass at the range, it's really dark. If I clean and tumble is it ok to use. Thanks

Just enough to hold the bullet in. Then place the cartridge in the chamber close the bold, then ease the cartridge...

    Problem is.... .277 v-max hornady has a crimp groove (cannelure), I loaded according to Lyman 49 manual they say c.o.l. with 48grs. varget is 3.285. So I went to Lee second edition, same load 3.250, i had two different lenths so I went to the hodgdon data site 3.250 c.o.l. ,but none of them...
