    Stockpiling Ammo

Well, I skipped the middle two pages of the thread. I knew where this was going. I am very happy that those of us here on THR have enough ammunition for virtually any realistic situation. Wer're all on the same side, and I hope all of my neighbors are as responsible as those of us here on the...

    So many choices....

I'm looking to buy a semi-auto pistol with my "economic stimulus rebate" in Mid-May. I don't have a whole lot of experience with firearms (except for what the Corps taught me to shoot well: M16A2/A4, M2, M249, M240G, MK19, and most relevant, M9). I've got big hands and like the Beretta 92FS...

    Very dissapointed...

Lots of good comments guys, anybody have a comment on the fact that I thought I was buying a premium, reputable brand of shotgun when I bought the Benelli? I looked at Mossbergs and Remingtons, but I don't like the look of wood stocks, and the Benelli wasn't much more expensive ($300). I figured...

    Very dissapointed...

well, regardless, I bought the extended warranty from Gander Mountain when I bought the gun 6 months ago..I don't think I'm gonna tell them the complete truth though....hopefully they stand behind it, I'll keep you guys posted. Worst case, I have to pay for a new stock out of pocket:mad:. BTW, I...

    Very dissapointed...

okay, i did not hit a stud guys, I'm not that stupid. It was directly in the middle between the studs, 8 inches of drywall on either side. I was pretty sure beforehand, but I confirmed it when I angrily followed up by completing the hole with the M44...which didn't even get a scratch on it...

    Very dissapointed...

I didn't hit the wall that hard, like I said in the original thread, it barely even left a dent in the drywall. I guess my whole point is that when I bought it, I figured I was buying a good quality shotgun from a fine Italian maker, but I'm thinking now for longevity sake, I might have been...

    Estate shotshells: Poor quality

I've shot hundreds of rounds of Estate shells in the past 6 months or so. I only shoot clays, but I find I'm more accurate with the Estate's than I am with Federal target loads, and they're about the same price at Gander Mountain where I buy my ammo. I've also never had a FTF.

    Very dissapointed...

I got an amusing and disappointing story for you guys... I was hanging out with a couple of buddies and we were checking out my guns (Benelli Nova 12ga. and Mosin-Nagent M44) and I decided I didn't like a piece of drywall. I reverted back to my days in the Marines and decided to buttstroke...

    M44 question...

Can anyone point me in the right direction to resources regarding putting a scope on an M44? I just bought one last week at the local Gander Mountain for $100....has to be the best $100 investment I've ever made....
