    CZ-83 Vs. Bersa .380

Generalizing based on limited examples as some have done here really doesn't tell you anything. You might want to try both & see which you like best. My BERSAs are satin nickel, steel, double column, absolutely reliable & accurate w/ very good DA (excellent compared to PPK) & excellent...

I want to get dual pistols...

Fixed barrels for accuracy, 380 or 38 Special. BERSA 380s. My double column BERSAs were much more.

Enough with the Bersa Posts Already

Have a pair. Since no one has posted the obligatory pic. yet: Will probably buy only 1 or 2 more.

    Any twins?

 2 hands. Pair consecutive serial nos.

Trust the .380 with your life?

FYI, Wild Bill carried .36s, probably for accuracy. .36 BP 80 grain over 900 f/s or similiar to .380, 9mm Short which also normally uses a fixed barrel.

    Trade a P-32 for a Bersa Thunder?

Good luck finding someone who will trade. :D Albanian sums it up very well. A gun should be reliable & should not fall apart. If they know how to make them good they don't seem to care as long as people put up w/ it. Albanian Which 2 BERSAs? My BERSAs have excellent reliability...

    .32 vs .22LR for Self-Defense

Reliability is far more important than caliber. Would go w/ a reliable 32 over 22LR. 380 is much better than either. Keeping the Walther TPH 22LR.

I'm thinking about consoladating- what do you guys think?

I picked the safety/platform first. All 3 autos same system. Look at a CZ83.

    I want a plinker...

Would buy a Bersa or Firestorm .22lr, very reliable, accurate, etc.

Trust the .380 with your life?

Actually 9mm Short (380) is considered equivalent to 38 Special snubs normally used ...

Could this be "the" small pocket pistol to carry?

Completely worthless. :D As are some other nos. here. :D Talk about massaging the nos.! :D So it beats a 22. 9mm short (380) is better. PS If someone wants a 9mm so badly, then get a real one w/ a 9 mm barrel length.

    .380 that's enjoyable to shoot?

My BERSA 380s shoot very nice. Some consider 380 recoil to be quick. Haven't shot a BDA. Handled one & liked it, would expect the BDA to be a nice shooter. The BDA wound up No. 2 & went w/ BERSA mainly for the fixed barrel (accuracy) & better trigger. Have shot an alloy frame FEG PPK 380...

    Llama .380

That was a quick comment on your cost comment of two particular models. When double column BERSAs were available they were about $350. Cost is not an issue w/ me. Would never choose one gun over another based on cost as you evidently didn't either since you said you bought the CZ83 for the...

    Llama .380

A friend bought a Llama 380 because of "small hands" & had the same issue "the pin that holds it in was too loose, and would lift up during firing". PS Wally Paid much more for a modern DA/SA reliable BERSA.

    Opinion on 380's

BERSA for reliability, accuracy, DA/SA, trigger pull, etc.
