If the world reverted to ground zero...

A TC contender and barrels in as many calibers as possible.

which basics to work on first?

I got that across for the most part. All guns were pointed down range at the backstop until in use, preferably with the action left open. Girlfriend's father left his 30-30 with the action closed more than once and I cracked it open more than once to make sure it was clear when someone decided...

which basics to work on first?

Hello THR friends! I'm back in Atlanta after a relaxing break in Florence, SC with my girlfriend's parents and my 22 Pistol and her father's Marlin 336 (SO COOL). Her father suggested we go out for a bit of practice at a friend's property. Anyways, it was tons of fun, but I realized that as...

    SOG weapons (your picks)

It was the remington 7188... I think I got that and the modded 870 mixed up. Oh well.

    SOG weapons (your picks)

Don't forget that this 870 is modified for full-auto. :D 200RPM makes for about... 3 shells a second? And if shooting #4 buck as some SEALs preferred, that makes for 81 .24 caliber pellets in the air. A book on SEALs weapons I used to have compared this shotgun to a SAW.

    SOG weapons (your picks)

Remington 870 with the Special Operations Weapon mod with the 20 round magazines. HK54, with an endcap, for a sidearm, in a thigh rig. (the EARLY mp5 model) A couple of V40 mini grenades. A Stoner 63 back at base (configured as a LMG) and a Smith and Wesson MK22 MOD0 as a side arm. Of...

    M16a1,2,3,4

Definitely not just the different stocks. For example, the M16A2 has a different rear sight, and a longer stock, and a different fire control mechanism. (three round burst rather than Full-auto.) The A3 has the same modifications, but retains automatic capability. The A4 features a detachable...

    "Other than gas operation"

There is an entire class of firearms operation that eliminates that gas port and make true free floating possible. Blowback! Can it handle rifle pressures? Sure, with some figuring. the G3 is roller delayed blowback and it does just fine, I hear. Even is the basis for one of the worlds best(and...

Bill Engvall Says We Dont Need AK-47's

My jaw dropped right when the MSNBC analyst said "I think the 2nd amendment should be dropped" and I immediately told my computer that all human beings have a right to self-defense and that the constitution only guarantees it. I also love their logic- they have muskets, we have muskets... now...

    Brand New 1911 horror story!!!

If I were married and had a 1911, I would be PROUD to have my wife's ring mark forever on MY 1911. Then you can think fondly of TWO things while shooting.

    Equip the Military...

Individual Carbine: The M4, of course. Assault Rifle: M16A4. Without the derpy burst mechanism and back to the REAL burst mechanism (good trigger discipline) Designated Marksman Rifle: A Mk 12 SPR, but built on a colt CM901 and chambered in 7.62. Mostly just to keep compatibility...

    What's your "never buy" gun?

They're not the only ones. I'm withholding judgement myself... I'm of the opinion that the 1911 is a little outdated and that you could do a little better. If in .45, why not in Ten? Oh yeah, I forgot the Beretta 92FS. Ugly gun that's too large for a 9mm.

    What's your "never buy" gun?

Anything gold or nickel plated, or has a highly patterned case hardening. Also a Desert eagle; I just don't see the point.

Next Firearm suggestions? This is a hard one...

No Hk91's? No Cetmes? No PTR91's? Whattttttttttttt. Oh well... Maybe you should get that 700 you want.

Next Firearm suggestions? This is a hard one...

I think you're missing a battle rifle in there. I'd personally go find an HK91 or the like... but maybe a m1a or something.
