Stopped Cleaning your Gun! I did - You Too?

Nope...not really. I may let a Glock go for a few range trips or if I am testing a 1911. But, the general rule is I put clean guns into storage. Crud attracts moisture and we all know what happens after that.

What's your preferred every day carry?

I have a wide variety of guns, but I always come back to the Glock 19. This frame size is nearly perfect for me. While the Glock 48 is great, it's a bit thin with regard to recoil. Since the purpose of carrying a gun is fighting, I prioritize attributes that facilitate the purpose. For...

Was there ANY Founding Father who did not own at least ONE firearm for personal use?

    I wouldn't ride 2 miles alone unarmed in 1770.

duty size gun carry for ccw

The Hi-Power is one of the classic, easy to conceal carry guns!!! The short grip is great and you still get 15 rounds with modern mags. Carry it IWB and the long slide no longer matters.

Is Glock the Colt 1911 of the 1980s & earlier?

It seems to me that Glock's business is well managed. Colt...well...not so much.

    Who needs 357 Dainty?

On a serious note, the Georgia Arms 240 grain 44 Magnum @1,000 FPS is very sedate and easy to shoot out of an N-Frame revolver. There is no "sting" in the recoil at all and offers very fast shot to shot recovery.

    Who needs 357 Dainty?

The .429 diameter allows for extra speed that the big, fat, and slow 45 cannot achieve. 45 is so slow that you can see it fly through the air. It barely makes it to the target; I'm surprised most 45 shooters don't lob their grounds under the NRA B-27 target! Maybe they're just bouncing the...

    Who needs 357 Dainty?

When one has 44? Why would anyone bother with a tiny and dainty round like 357? It's just sad to see grown American men choose to use a Europellet caliber called 357 Little Momentum. Here's a 629 Deluxe 3". It's everything you need in a CCW revolver. Here's a 24-3.

    10mm or .45 ACP?

I'll be a bit different and choose Ruger Blackhawk Convertible in 45 Colt/45 Auto with 5 1/2" barrel. I am not a fan of 10mm in revolvers when the Glock 20 and 15 or 17 round magazines are available. I'd rather go actual big bore and shoot some really heavy loads in 45 Colt and have...

    Carry Gun: Thinking About Rethinking

You likely need to learn recoil management, which means you likely need to learn to actually shoot. My guess is that your gun is not the problem and your training is the actual problem. This could only be confirmed on the range spending time with you analyzing what you are doing. Given that I...

    Revolver pocket carry
